The time has finally come, and Chart House Dana Point is pleased to announce that their Swirl & Sip Wine Events are back!  The next event will be on Friday, February 24th at 6:30 pm, and feature the Sextant Winery.  The event will feature three wonderful wines - the '10 Knots' Viognier, Sextant Central Coast Cabernet Sauvignon and Sextant Central Coast Zinfandel.  Chef John Bovard will create an amazing tasting menu to match perfectly with the wines.  Marcelino Cosio, C.S.W., representing The Estates Group, will be on hand to lend his expertise and wine knowledge to the event.  The cost for the event is only $35.99 per person. The non-profit organization, the Orange County Wine Society, dedicated to wine eduaction is holding one of their major fund-raising events which sends proceeds to help fund enology, viticulture, and hospitality scholarships.

The "Sunset Rare & Reserve" Wine Tasting on April 20, 2012 will feature rare and reserve level bottles winemakers will dust off and pour at this popular event. Some wines being poured are no longer in distribution; some are proprietor's reserves and end-of-vintage wines. A champagne reception greets guests who may be treated to Napa trophy cabs, rare bottles from Sonoma, Santa Cruz and Sierra Mtn. areas, the red-hot Central Coast, and Pinots from Santa Barbara County and more.
