Ripe bramble berries upon entry leads to a juicy mid palate
accentuating the raspberry and blackberry core at the heart of our Central
Coast Zinfandel. The more earthy notes of sage, saddle leather and fresh
tilled soil add complexity to this well balanced and luscious wine. Plush
tannins provide structure and elegance while highlighting the lithe texture of
this wine. Finishing with just a kiss of oak this wine begs to be revisited.
With fruit sourced from our estate vineyard in San Ardo, just
north of Paso Robles, California, our Central Coast Zinfandel is blended
with 25% Petite Sirah to add depth, complexity and color. Planted on the
highest peak of this rugged vineyard, these chalky soils produce fruit of
intense flavors and fine grained tannins. Aged for 14 months in oak barrels
this wine is both plush and alluring.
