2014 Shell Creek Petite Sirah
Enjoy now through 2022
July 25, 2016
The 2014 Shell Creek Petite Sirah is an ode to
boysenberries. Rich, potent, and concentrated, it’s a wine to satisfy a craving
for a bold and savory inkling. Blackberries, kirsch, and white pepper add to
the boysenberry base. Limber tannins frame a chewy texture with deep color
and depth. This wine has a place on the holiday table to pair with turkey and
all the fixings in helping to complete the setting for an ode to joy.
Hailing from Shell Creek Vineyard originally planted in 1972
and nestled amongst the limestone foothills near Shandon California this
Petitie Sirah is aged in 10% new American oak, 10% new French oak, and
10% new Hungarian oak and barrel aged for 22 months.
