Known for tannic structure and rustic flavor, the Tannat varietal, originally from Southwest France, has flourished in Paso Robles. Wild raspberries and bright cherries are infused with notes of rhubarb, black truffles, and roasted beets. Firm tannins and bright acidity offer a pinch of astringency, a welcomed pivot from finesse-driven wines. The finish is taut and quenching, arriving with savory gusto.
Made in a very limited production exclusively for Wine Club Members and visitors to our tasting rooms our 2014 Tannat is aged for 22 months in 20% New French Oak barrels.
